The Help Desk Wants YOU !!!

The Marywood University Help Desk is looking for a few good people to join our team.  We pride ourselves on being friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and of course, helpful.  Does this also describe you?  Are you currently in the work-study program and want something a little more challenging?  Then please stop by to see one of us.  Tell us you would like to do your work-study placement at the Help Desk next academic year.  We provide total and complete training for all students.  And we are a fun group of people to work for!  So come by and see us before you leave for the summer.

What We Do

I want to thank all of you who have stopped by to see us so far during Library Week.  I hope to see many more of you over the next few days.  I also want to add that a new shipment of goodies will make an appearance tomorrow.  So stop by, say hello and have a little sweet treat while registering to win a great prize.

The Help Desk is more than fun and games though.  We are a Level I Support Center for the Marywood University community. What exactly does that mean? Maybe you need help with a paper you are working on or writing a formula in a spreadsheet.  You might have some questions about your email or using the built-in calendar or Google Docs.  You could be having trouble getting connected to the wireless network.  Hopefully your laptop is not infected with spyware or a virus.  But if it is, we may be able to help you.

So give us a call, an email, or stop by--this week and every week.

See you then.

It's Library Week!

Today is the first day of Library Week.  So far today we have had well over thirty visitors!  Was it the mini Snickers bars or the bubble gum that brought them to us?  I think it is our awesome list of prizes they can all win.  Here is the list:

Dell All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer
iPod Shuffle
Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse
Portable Notebook Cooling Stand
Flash Drives (six available)
Laptop Computer Care Kit
Google Backpack
Google T-Shirt

The drawing won't be held until Noon on Thursday so there is plenty of time to fill out an entry form.  Stop by to see us on the main floor of the Library.
